Reel to Reel tape recorders + Manouchehr rare 60s iRan radio recording
In the 1960's had these suitcase type reel II reel ( or reel 2 reel ) audio recorders. The name of these machines was probably something else.

The point is that in iRan people would record radio programs at home using these machines. In the 60s there were pirate vinyl records released thanks to recordings made on these these machines. Store owners would record songs performed live on the radio using these machines and then the next day without licensing or permission would press an illegal vinyl copy of it!!! KHEILI EYROONI !!!
If you have radio recordings you made in the late 60s or early 70s in eyeRan, collaborate and send audio samples to this site.
Here is one submitted by Yohanan recorded with one of these Reel to Reel machines from the radio. It is of Manouchehr Sakhai. Click below for Audio Sample (0:30):

Daniel Vangarde ( Bangalter ) is a French songwriter and producer. He is the father Thomas of Daft Punk.
In the early 1970s Vangarde worked with Sheila B. Devotion with fellow writer and producer Jean Kluger. He released the LP Le Monde Fabuleux Des Yamasuki, containing the song "Aieaoa" ( "Aie a Mwana" ) rerecorded later by Bananarama, becoming their first UK hit.
Vangarde's main international successes came later in the 1970s, as writer and producer with Ottawan and the Gibson Brothers ("Cuba").

![]() | Santuariodariointernet.com Summary: El Mismo De Ayer (Terminal Mix ) - Raro - Muestra Incompleta |

![]() | World Homeless World Cup+ Cool Animation and Logo Design updatesdario.blogspot.com Summary: ... |
In this cold freezing weather we are having in Europe, it is seriously important to think about the homeless. There are way many out there. Way more than official data's go. People dismiss the issue saying.. ..Oh there are shelters, but believe me there are not, particularly where the homeless hang out, which is the center of town. For starters, nobody provides them free transportation to the outskirts, if the shelter is located away from the town center. In October 2005 I was unemployed and desperately looking for work on the internet. Right then, the lady I was renting a room from, decided to switch phone companies, leaving us without internet for a month, which is the ridiculous amount of time it takes in Spain for an operator to start someones internet service. So I had to go with my laptop to one centric plaza in Madrid under a government office to use the WIFI for my job search. There, after 9pm, over 200 homeless people would lay on the bare floor and sleep. I actually have a picture of it on this site. It was a heartbreaking scenary, as I was unemployed and wondering if I would end up joining them. It was freezing cold and the only help that I saw was a group showing up with sandwitches late at night. But there was no bus to a shelter or nothing of the sort.
Which brings me to World Homeless World Cup of Football ( Soccer) .

What a great idea is this tourament. Now this is interesting, and not all this sissy business of professional soccer in Europe.

I realized that the animation for their promotion which you can see here is done by Tina Fleck .
Watch the animation below:
You know that I cannot control the Ads that appear on my site, as they are generated by Google's ad Sense ( Adsense). Some of them are really horrible, like religious ads or stuff that nobody is ever interested in.
So it was nice that for a change, since a month ago, these cute ads by Blinko are showing up on the seconday pages of this site. Blinko is some sort of social networking like Twitter but for mobile phones.
Once you click on the add, you will see a cute animation . It happens that designer Tina Fleck based in Graz Austria that did the World Homeless Wold Cup animation, also worked on designing Blinko. The cute animation you can see in the clip below apparently though is by Giles Littleford .
Here you can watch the animation for Blinko :
Somebody commented that the graphics for blinko are from Giles Littleford a creative from London.

![]() | Europa2con letra de Manolo Garcia updatesdario.blogspot.com Summary: Europa 2 disco 1984 Jaime Stinus Angel Celada... |
video clip.
Ver Video Montage con Africa Negra ( Europa2 )
Last night I saw the movie MILK so I became a bit nostalgic about the Bay Area where I spent many years of my life. Now with the shitty weather we have in Madrid, I miss California's sunshine more than ever. Though the reality is that the grass is always greener on the other side.
So anyway, in my nostalgic mode I went to recover some old photos from San Francisco. Unfortunately most of the pictures I took there were in the 90s and back then I used a normal camera that uses a negative and I also don't appear in the pics so they are annonymous. Its funny that despite all efforts to keep backups on hard drives and Cd's, how easitly the material gets lost. It took me hours to recover these fotos.
These ones are not that old, but at least I'm in them. It was towards the END of my US stay, right before leaving for good. They are all from January 2004, a very horrible time in my life.

Above: Haight street in San Francisco

Above: Early morning in front of the City Hall San Francisco

Above: Santa Cruz Pier

Above: Highway 17 traffic nightmare as roads in the US are old, unattended and public money is not properly spent on infrastructure. This is the same freeway that becomes 880 with its narrow 4 lane-only bridges from the 1950s.
By the way, the movie sticks to the original events. The way it should be. In 1984 there was a documentary on Harvey Milk which won the Oscar on for the best documentary. Last night I discovered that there is a very short footage of Sylvester performing in the Castro Fare in it. The oversized lady in pink is Martha Wash. I've pulled that bit out, since most people would be unable to find it within that long doucmentary.

Lights Out: San Francisco - Sylvester Why was I born ( Rarity - Preview Sample ONLY)
Celebrating todays theatre release ( estreno ) of the movie ( pelicula ) MILK staring Sean Penn, I am uploading a 45 SECOND SAMPLE - PREVIEW ONLY of the song WHY WAS I BORN? by San Francisco's Sylvester.

It was his first recording and part of a double vinyl belonging to a late night radio show in San Francisco 1971 - 1972.
LISTEN TO A STREAMED-ONLY SOUND SAMPLE
I never go to theatres because of lack of time, interest and the ridiculous entry fee. But I'll go see MILK as it is an important part of our civil rights history. Since unfortunately these days people learn their history from movies, its great to see that this story also gets its movie. It was everydays talk within the community in the Bay Area, but not too well known outside the US.

The general concept is that one of the strong points of Spain would be its supposedly sunshiny weather.
However, I am starting to miss California. The weather here in Madrid is really cold from October till mid April. That is more than 7 months a year. Yesterday it was 1 degrees celsius / 29 F during daytime and minus zero at night. And today its snowing hard. If we consider that it is as cold in Madrid as in Norway, then the city looses its attractiveness.
Here are some pictures I took on my way to work and my view right now.

![]() | Goleador - Italian updatesdario.blogspot.com Summary: My favorite candy when in Italy |
Each time I am in Italy I go crazy staring into every tabaccheria hoping they sell these gummy candies I love so much called GOLEADOR

They sort of feel like the gummy bears of Haribo , but they are different as Goleador is fruitier with Goleador also including a licorice version.

It sort of reminds me of a similar candy / Sweet we had during the 70s in Eye-Ran called PAASTIL پاستیل . Does anyone have a scan of the "Paastil" box ? I am interested in a scan or photo.

Here is the website for Goleador. The company is called Gelco.

2009 Starts -- In Trapani on the first day of the year
As always for New Years I leave and travel somewhere far to be distracted. And now thanks to Ryan Air its easier than ever. And money is no excuse.
The first day of 2009 I was in Trapani Italy. Great sunshiny morning.
I much preferred Trapani because it is more orderly. The port is nice and the historical stone city of Erice close by is simply amazing. A very long funiculare lift takes you up there.
I'll post the travel pictures I took later on. I'm really backed up in posting travel pictures. But thats what happenes when you travel as much as I did in 2008. I hope to continue in 2009 travelling and seeing lots of cool places. I hope to visit India and Uzbakestan this year.

Travel Advisory: Palermo Attack -> Do Not Visit this city
On January 30th I went to visit Palermo , Sicily , Italy. I had already been in Sicily previously, but this was my first visit to this particular town.
At 11pm I was walking up Via Roma, when two white Italian guys asked me if I had "fire" , to which I nicely repsonded: Non Fumo! I kept walking wondering ... how wierd. I'm insisting on the "white" italian, so that they don't go blaming "extracomunitari" again. Anyway, I kept walking wondering why these smokers don't carry a fucking lighter with them.

I turned on a tiny street called Via Divisi which goes to Via Maqueda where my hotel was. As soon as I entered the portal of the hotel. I was punched in the back of my head and then in the front of my face. My guess is that they punched me as hard as they could so that I would fall unconcious and then they could rob me. Which would have been horrible since I have no one to call if I'm left without cash. As I was falling on the floor from the second punch (the one on the face) I almost felt like I was loosing conciousness. However I've had too harsh of a life and that has made me hard skinned. Plus now I realize what is the use of my big eye-ranian nose. It works as a magnifisant defence bumper. Two italian guys couldn't with my eye-ranian nose. And to think that Franco Battiato's nose is from Sicily!! Maybe he needed a bumper nose too for self defence. I was able to shout "help" "help". Surprisingly when half uncouncious you can't remember second languages and I couldnt say "ayuto". Despite my
screams some "fucking" probably typically narcisist German tourists climbing the steps of the hostel did not bother to come down or to call the police and simply kept climbing the stairs. Unbelievable how there are people that won't follow a simple international protocol of help but then they pretend to care about the environment and social justice. Anyway, the two Sicialian attackers left running. One of them had a black Ski Giubotto that are fashionable these days in Italy. Though I think they are tacky as hell.
Anyway, do not visit Palermo. It is not safe. Its not very nice either, as the coastal section is completely misused and wasted.
The hotel, trying to save money had the heating system off, so it was cold. On the funny side, at least that night I slept warm, despite the lack of heating in the hotel.
The Giubotto of the guy was like this picture except one of those more cussiony ones and with long sleeve.

Funnily enough Dolce & Gabbana are also from Sicily.
Thankfully once back home in Spain, I got it Dolce & Bannana from a sweet hairy polish tourist called Mikhael.

Great start of the year. No wonder I used to follow Polands soccer team with interest in the World Cups.

L’altra metà da trovare non è una persona: sei sempre tu. E’ l’altra metà di te, la parte sconosciuta alla quale devi dare vita, per poterti finalmente incontrare. Per sempre. The best way to find the content you are searching for is to BROWSE using the two set of topic menus that appear on the right hand column of this website. There are two menus , the first one is for general topics, such as Spain Charts, stories of my travels, .... . The second menu, further down is for i--ranian 70s music.
Do NOT browse using the tags you see under each individual post. Some of the tags or labels under individual posts are placed only for technical reasons as a requirement from some news sites that automatically index my site. Instead, to find content on my site, browse the menus on the right-hand column.
Additionally the only fully updated menus are the ones on the very first page of the site. That is, the entry page to the site.
So before browsing the menus, locate yourself at exactly the following address:

The menu on any OTHER page or subpage of the site or related sites can potentially be out of date.
The different pages and files of this site are hosted on three different domains:
