It was 1992. I was trying to finish a song for which I had a very good verse, but couldn't come up with the appropriate chorus. It had dragged on for weeks. Then that sunny day as I pulled into a gas station in Costa Mesa, I made the decision to drop my music interest all together. I was going to college AND working at some shit job to pay for my rent and I just had no time to breath.
So after aaaalll these years, I am forcing my self to get some discipline and start attempting some shit again!! First step was to get Pro Tools setup and figure out how a 6/8 (p-ersian) time is programmed into it. Turns out that, there are formats of old blues drum patterns that are also 6/8.
The best part is that if you can't change chords fast enough when playing a guitar, with Pro Tools you can easily fix it.
Anyway, very little achieved, but at least I got off my ass and took the first baby steps here.
