Also as part of my 2nd trip of the year I went to Gran Canaria. Travel pictures of my trip to Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands ( Canarias ). Click on the banner to enter the gallery. I think Tenerife North was nicer with more historical buildings and such. As for Gran Canaria one asks oneself how come they have so few historical buildings after so many years of history. The Canteras beach though was nice. Also the view from the Santa Ana Cathedral was great. The sand dunes were OK, though I hate to see US style malls all over the place in Maspalomas. Also the Ferries were ridiculously expensive for tourists.
