Taco Bell in Madrid Spain

Image
Taco Bell in Madrid Spain Despite the cultural proximity of Spain and Mexico, it has been surprising the lack of Mexican food in Spain. If you wanted to eat Mexican food in Spain, you could only do it at expensive restaurants and a minimum bill per person of $25 dollars!!!. So what a shock relief to see that finally Taco Bell has opened on Fuencarral St. in Madrid. Since I've discovered this, I haven't eat anything but Quesadillas.

Candy in Spain : Ladrillos Pica Fresa - version no relleno

Image
Candy in Spain : Ladrillos Pica Fresa This tangy Candy is hard to find in Spain. For some reason the manufacturer prefers placing their sweeter items in the stores. It is by a company called Golosinas Vidal . There are two versions, the one that is hard to find and which I like is the non filled one. Dried Tomatoes - Tomates Secos I always wondered what were those raisin look-a-like sour dried vegetable that came with some gormé salads. Finally I asked!! They are dried tomatoes (SPA: Tomates Secos ) and they sell them in a jelly jar for 4 Euros. The -must be- rich farmer that produces it even has a website .

GOLEADOR !!!! Italian Gummy Candy

Image
Goleador - Italian Gummy Candy updatesdario.blogspot.com Summary : My favorite candy when in Italy Each time I am in Italy I go crazy staring into every tabaccheria hoping they sell these gummy candies I love so much called GOLEADOR They sort of feel like the gummy bears of Haribo , but they are different as Goleador is fruitier with Goleador also including a licorice version. It sort of reminds me of a similar candy / Sweet we had during the 70s in Eye-Ran called PAASTIL پاستیل . Does anyone have a scan of the "Paastil" box ? I am interested in a scan or photo. Here is the website for Goleador . The company is called Gelco.

-------------------------------------------- Funny dilbert strip relating to my job: Dilbert strip external link
