Update 6 on Atish Bezanesh recording. Two hours work for a 3 seconds arrangement. Plus Saw Lead Synth Sound Brings Back Memories Today it took me 2 hours to create a small guitar/keyboard arrangement that only lasts 3 seconds . However, it sounds super cool . It is part of my work on my first Farsi song and recording called آتیش بزنش (Bailatela) - romanization: Atish Bezanesh - . When originally I made my planning, I had optimistically thought that the keyboard arrangements would take me only a week, part-time, to write and record. However, now it is clear that this takes way longer. I was so naive to think that I would just switch the keyboard and start playing. I forgot that one has to select sounds carefully and then even modify these sounds to make them appropriate for the recording. Talking about synth sounds, while searching for sounds I stumbled upon the Nice Saw Lead sound which is sort of like the moog sound. I used it for the entire bridge section of the song...

New album by 80s San Francisco Dance Artist Paul Parker

Image
New album by 80s San Francisco Dance Artist Paul Parker Paul Parker the legendary 80's San Francisco based Hi-NRG dance vocalist is back with a new album called: "Take it from me". I'll take it from him anytime !!!. He was an artist that inspired many other musicians, including myself, to make non-apologetic music about our lives the way it was. I already bought this new album from Masterbeat . Please also visit Paul Parker Website trackback dariointernet.com The site has samples of the new tracks plus cooool memorabilia . Paul comes instantly to mind for his Billboard Hot Dance #1 hit Right on Target . In the 90's he also recorded a beautiful album called Destiny where he was able to squeeze in (Mmmmh!!) some of his amazing original compositions. Please support him by buying and paying for his material and considering promotional opportunities in your region.   Related Articles Sylvester Lights out San Francisco Dario's last days in th...

Bay Area past fotos + more Sylvester

Image
Last night I saw the movie MILK so I became a bit nostalgic about the Bay Area where I spent many years of my life. Now with the shitty weather we have in Madrid, I miss California's sunshine more than ever. Though the reality is that the grass is always greener on the other side. So anyway, in my nostalgic mode I went to recover some old photos from San Francisco. Unfortunately most of the pictures I took there were in the 90s and back then I used a normal camera that uses a negative and I also don't appear in the pics so they are annonymous. Its funny that despite all efforts to keep backups on hard drives and Cd's, how easitly the material gets lost. It took me hours to recover these fotos. These ones are not that old, but at least I'm in them. It was towards the END of my US stay, right before leaving for good. They are all from January 2004, a very horrible time in my life. Lights Out: San Francisco - Sylvester Why was I born ( Rarity - Preview Sample ONLY)

Lights Out: San Francisco - Sylvester Why was I born ( Rarity - Preview Sample ONLY) Celebrating todays theatre release ( estreno ) of the movie ( pelicula ) MILK staring Sean Penn, I am uploading a 45 SECOND SAMPLE - PREVIEW ONLY of the song WHY WAS I BORN? by San Francisco's Sylvester . It was his first recording and part of a double vinyl belonging to a late night radio show in San Francisco 1971 - 1972. LISTEN TO A STREAMED-ONLY SOUND SAMPLE AUDIO SAMPLE I never go to theatres because of lack of time, interest and the ridiculous entry fee. But I'll go see MILK as it is an important part of our civil rights history. Since unfortunately these days people learn their history from movies, its great to see that this story also gets its movie. It was everydays talk within the community in the Bay Area, but not too well known outside the US.
