Dario M: By the time the Champions truck reached the corner of San Bernardo and Gran Via it was 9:15 pm. I doubt the truck can reach the final stage before 11 PM Dario: The World Cup passed 10 feet in front of me. It is shiny. Dario: Iniesta and Torres look like little kids. Iker looked really tired and there were girls chasing the truck calling his name! It was funny. The extra goal keeper and Pique where the ones partying the most and playing with the crowd. Video:

Spain Finalist of WoldCup 2010 World Cup is going on these days. Octopus Paul has predicted that Spain will be the World Cup winner and everybody is going crazy with him. Until few weeks ago I was skeptical of seeing Spain ever win the World Cup in my lifetime. I've followed them in 9 world cups. In the German World Cup I even attended one of the matches live. This year it looked more of the same, with Spain having really annoying sports media and even more annoying TV commentators. They started loosing and then they couldn't play well after that either. They won their last match of the first round thanks to the mistakes of the rival team Chile whose goal keeper was at fault for Spain's first goal. Chile made also the mistake of playing violently resulting in a red card early in the match. After that it was easy for Spain. My stomach is not in good shape this morning and I'm in pain. I nervously had too many chips with soda while watching the Eurocup final. Then with the heat and the noise of the illegal fireworks it wasn't easy to sleep. Its warm and one is still scared to turn on the air conditioning. The electricity bill was already high in Spain, now they have increased it 11%. The stupid Minister of economy has the nerves to say that the price increase will provoke "responsible usage". Right! The only thing it provokes in me is anger and a desire to kick someone in the balls. Balls which he doesnt have since he misserably lost in the local elections last time. Oh, on the cute note, a co-worker of mine went to Austria to see the final game between Spain and Germany. He was caught on a video on the front page of one of Spains most famous sport magazines (in it's internet version).

Finally we can say that the Spanish soccer team has found a style, a personality and plays amazingly well. The Spain we saw winning 3 - 0 over Russia in a Eurocup semi-final was just beautiful making all of us Spaniards proud of our team. And I'm not just talking about the team, but actually their style and their game. We no longer have to count on individual shots, corners or luck. I am shocked at how well all the passes were made all of them finding their destinatary! And we have a good goalkeeper finally for a change. I'm counting on a new era starting for Spain's soccer where we can actually watch a quarter final or semi final game knowing we have what it takes to win, be the favorites and more!! Comentario sobre reporteros de TV y la Eurocopa. Amazon.com Widgets Para situarnos, este post lo tenía planeado antes del juego entre España e Italia de la Eurocopa 2008. El caso es que en este blog hay anuncios de Google que se generan automaticamente. Osea que yo no eligo los anuncios que aparecen en la pagina. Cuando empezó la Eurocopa, un dia empezó a aparecer en el blog el anuncio del " Cateto Futbolero ". Estaba super contento de ver este anuncio ya que usualmente los anuncios que aparecen no son los que a mi me hubiera gustado tener en mi site. Pero esta era genial ya que conozco algunas de las personas que han trabajado en ella! Y son tan cachondos como el anuncio. Bien hecho!! Commentary on the Iran VS Portugal game of the world cup 2006 in Germany MONgholaa! Iranian soccer team is just not improving. It´s drying up and fading away! I went to Frankfurt to see Iran play versus Portugal. Iran lost 2-0, but could have been 3-0. In the stadium, because you dont hear the tv presenter, it felt like 3-0. There seamed to be a goal at the very, which I guess didnt count. Imagine all the sacrifices involved in getting there from Spain. In Frankfurt there were slightly more Portuguese fans than iranian fans. I was carrying this huge "shir va khorshid" iranian flag. Many iranians have seamed to accept the "allah o akbar" flag as the iranian flag, which is dissapointing. Im sure they were carrying the "allah o akbar" flag, just because its easier to find than the "shir va khorshid" flag, but they should do an effort and use the lion and sun flag. I was walking in the streets in Madrid today. I stuck my head in a bar for a minute looking for a TV screen to check what the score was for the FRANCE VS Brazil game..... and YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS FRANCE WAS WINNING!!!! I stayed and when the 90 minute finish wistle blew.... we all screamed and put our hands in the air!@! YEEEAAAHHHHUUUUUUUUUU ----------- Coouple of days later it was the semi finals and Italy played host Germany. For some reason I wasnt a big fan of germany. I found ballack too violent and the whole team a little dorky! Italy played great and they showed so much style and elegance. Italy's play looked like one of those beautiful games of World Cup 1970. In extra time italy striked the "post" twice! Then finally when the game was almost over, one of Italy's players ( Andrea Pirlo) gets the ball in Germanys penalty area, and instead of quickly shooting, he keeps his cool, dribles, walks around like it was a fashion show, then passes the ball ...

Commentary on the Iran VS Mexico game of the world cup 2006 in Germany It's been like a hard slap in the face! I was watching Iran's first Worldcup 2006 game, hopeing for a miracle. I'll be in Frankfurt for Iran's second game, the one against Portugal. A favorable result for Iran against Mexico would have pumped me up towards the second game against Portugal, but what I saw against Mexico has left me without a smile on my face. I almost dont want to get on that plane! Imagine these guys playing against Figo, Deko, Ronaldo, Pauleta, who was the maximum scorer in the soccer league of France! I wonder if I should close my eyes during the game with Portugal! I also wonder if it was a wise idea to spend my savings to go to Germany to be humiliated. I dont know why I'm dissapointed? -Eurocopa de Portugal: Hubo un partido genial entre Inglaterra y Francia. Iva ganando Inglaterra 1 a cero y quedaban pocos minutos de partido y Zidanne (que esta buenisimo) metió dos goles seguidos justo en los ultimos minutos y asi ganó Francia. Fue mejor que un orgasmo! -Tambien fue muy divertido el partido Holanda 2-3 Rep. Checa. España la misma mierda de siempre.
