Acquisition Sun Microsystems bought by Oracle dariointernet.com Summary : Wwwoooww!! Sun microsystems has been bought by Oracle the database software company. Two of Sillicon Valeys historical companies are now one. Oracle’s database are used more on Solaris OS based Sun server machines anyway. Aparently Sun had been selling fewer servers lately. Because Sun owns MySQL database that now falls into Oracle's ownership. I hope Larry has no plans of milking money off MySQL to buy himself more little jets. Anyway, this all screws IBM quite a bit.

My stomach is not in good shape this morning and I'm in pain. I nervously had too many chips with soda while watching the Eurocup final. Then with the heat and the noise of the illegal fireworks it wasn't easy to sleep. Its warm and one is still scared to turn on the air conditioning. The electricity bill was already high in Spain, now they have increased it 11%. The stupid Minister of economy has the nerves to say that the price increase will provoke "responsible usage". Right! The only thing it provokes in me is anger and a desire to kick someone in the balls. Balls which he doesnt have since he misserably lost in the local elections last time. Oh, on the cute note, a co-worker of mine went to Austria to see the final game between Spain and Germany. He was caught on a video on the front page of one of Spains most famous sport magazines (in it's internet version).

Es la noche mas corta del año. Y si no me equivoco es fiesta al dia siguiente en Barcelona pero aqui en Madrid, no!!! Osea el primer día del verano. Y como todos los años es justo cuando empieza el "invierno" en las oficinas del parque empresarial donde trabajo. Parece que no les importa la factura electrica porque no se cortan en derrochar en aire accondicionado. En la oficina sobre todo los que estamos en los rincones, hace un frío siberiano. Los años anteriores hubo gente que se traía su calentador electrico. No merece la pena quejarse ya que no hace ningun efecto como se demostró los años anteriores. Solucion: Gorro! Hay dos perros "lobos" por mi barrío, que bueno creo que son dos lobos directamente, y siempre les acaricio cuando paso y sus dueño les ha dejado afuera. Con el nazo ( nariz) me aprietan el bolsillo, porque huelen comida en mi bolsilio. Estuve en Canarias, y como en toda España esta inhundado de Latinos. Un dia fuí a un internet café. El domingo fuí a la calle esa, que se me olvida su nombre, por Chueca donde hay dos restaurantes Mexicanos. Entré en uno y el ambiente era muy agradable ya que estaba decorado con parafernalias mexicanas. Era la primera vez que iva a comer un taco o una quesadilla desde que dejé California! Obviamente el sitio estaba lleno de americanos añorando lo mismo que yo! Eso si, el precio fue reflejo de lo que esta tan mal en España. Por una quesadilla tamaño de un micro taco (me quede pensativo un rato cuando vi lo pequeño que era - y yo que pensaba que iva a ser como las del Taco Bell!- ), un taco y una coca cola, me costo 9Euros = 12 dollares!!! Me an my coworkers were talkin over lunch... and It was cute to find out that several of us, get off the metro (subway / tube), several stations earlier than where we live, so that we can walk the streets and look at shop and store displays! ------------ I was traveling in Egypt, in Luxor. I was walking thru a non turisitic section of town and sat outdoors at a restaurant to eat! Five minutes later, I get greeted by a tourist friend which I had met some days ago on the Nile! She was walking on the non-tourist areas as well! Looking for a restaurant! So we eat together at the Terrace! ------------ Today I went to cut my hair. While I was having my hair cut, people were talking about the long lines at the supermarket. One guy said that the long line is so that people buy more items by paying attention to the expensive stuff close to the register and buy expensive things they would have otherwise ignored. I went with my laptop and sat in plaza mxxxx to get on the net prestado... anyway, I had to sit in that spot and this clown threw a show in the area right in front of me for over 500 people watching and clapping at him.
